Il modellismo secondo me

Il modellismo? Un gioco per Bimbi o qualcosa in più?

Molta gente crede che il modellismo sia solo un passatempo come un altro, un semplice hobby che consiste nel mettere insieme dei pezzetti di plastica con la colla e cosi a caso.. Niente di più sbagliato! Il modellismo è passione, svago e ricerca storica; ricerca storica, questa sconosciuta.. eppure ogni buon modellista ha le sue riviste e le sue fonti.. La fedeltà storica è molto importante quando si va a realizzare il diorama o una scenetta.. Ah già.. Parliamo di "diorama".. Ma cosa si intende per "diorama"? Con diorama si suole intendere un "plastico" contenente dei mezzi militari (di ogni epoca e di ogni genere) accompagnati magari da alcuni figurini (quelli che da piccoli noi conosciamo con il nome semplice di soldatini.. ma vai a dire a un figurinista: "Uh, che bello questo SOLDATINO!").
Poi la storia quella che gli antichi chiamavano "magistra vitae", a buon ragione, è una compagna fedele che sta sempre vicino al modellista e lo porta alla realizzazione esatta (o quanto meno si avvicina) di una scena ambientata in un periodo specifico di tempo o specifico luogo. Sarebbe impossibile per esempio ambientare un mezzo usato solo ed esclusivamente sul fronte occidentale in un teatro operativo asiatico.

Cosa denota il modellismo? Tanta (e mi voglio ripetere), tanta, tanta pazienza! Senza quella non si va da nessuna parte..
Oltre questa una attrezzatura adeguata, anche minima.. Mica c'è bisogno di avere una officina per astronavi, ma alcune cose sono necessarie.. a iniziare dalla colla.. passando per i pennelli e un buon taglierino (o cutter).. poi con gli anni e con l'esperienza si avranno sempre strumenti più sofisticati.. ma ogni cosa a suo tempo... Partire anche da un kit (una scatola di montaggio) molto semplice è importante, senza troppe superfici incasinate e senza troppi fronzoli e pezzi in resina, metallo e altri oggetti vari.. magari iniziare anche con scale "grandi"... magari la scala 1\35, la scala per eccellenza.. la scala madre di tutte le altre, dalle 1\16 alla 1\76 e via, via scorrendo le altre.
Inizialmente i pezzi vi faranno schifo? Non fa niente.. è normale.. tutti dobbiamo iniziare.. "nessuno è nato imparato"!

Dopo tutta questa mezza paginetta sgrammaticata ricordate una cosa fondamentale: IL MODELLISMO E' PASSIONE, IL MODELLISMO E' UN HOBBY E IL MODELLISMO DEVE ESSER FATTO PER PIACERE..

The model ? A game for Kids or something more?

Many people believe that the model is just a hobby like any other, a simple hobby that is putting together the pieces of plastic with glue and so in case .. Nothing could be more wrong! The model is passion, entertainment and historical research , historical research , this unknown .. yet every good modeller has its magazines and its sources .. The historical accuracy is very important when you go to make the diorama or a skit .. Oh yeah .. Let's talk about " diorama " .. But what is meant by " diorama " ? With diorama is usually understood to mean a "plastic" containing military means ( of every age and of every kind) perhaps accompanied by some sketches (the ones that we know little with the simple name of toy soldiers .. but go tell a dress designer : "Uh , how nice this SOLDIER !") .
Then the story what the ancients called " magistra vitae " , with good reason , it is a faithful companion who is always close to the modeller and brings him to the realization exact (or at least approaching ) of a scene set in a specific period of time or specific place . It would be impossible to acclimatize as a means used solely and exclusively on the Western Front in an operating theater Asia.

What denotes the model ? Tanta ( and I want to repeat), and a lot of patience ! Without that you do not go anywhere ..
Beyond this a proper equipment, even minimal .. Mica is no need to have a workshop for spaceships , but a few things are needed .. starting with the glue .. passing through the brushes and a good cutter (or cutter) .. then over the years and with the experience you will always have more sophisticated tools .. but all in good time ... Even starting from a kit ( a box mounting ) very simple is important, too many surfaces without messy , and without too many frills and resin parts , metal and other miscellaneous items .. maybe start with stairs "big" ... maybe the scale 1 \ 35 , the scale par excellence .. the mother of all other scale , from 1 \ 16 to 1 \ 76 and way, way scrolling through the other .
Initially, the pieces will make you sick ? It does not matter .. is normal .. we all have to start with .. "No one is born learned " !

After all this half a page ungrammatical remember one thing: THE MODEL AND ' PASSION, AND THE MODEL ' A HOBBY AND THE MODEL SHOULD BE MADE FOR PLEASURE ..
